Boston Partners Global Equity Adds a Portfolio Manager; Ratings Unchanged

Analyst Note

On Jan. 5, 2024, Boston Partners announced that Soyoun Song was promoted to portfolio manager of Boston Partners Global Equity effective Jan. 1, 2024, joining seasoned managers Chris Hart and Josh Jones. This does not change the mutual fund's Above Average People or High Process ratings. Song's promotion was a reasonable decision. He joined Boston Partners in April 2019 as an analyst covering the industrials, materials, and transportation sectors and was then promoted to manager on Boston Partners Global Sustainability BPGSX in December 2021. He also worked closely with Hart and Jones on a related separately managed account version of John Hancock Disciplined Value International JDVIX before he was promoted to comanager of the mutual fund vehicle at the beginning of 2024. The trio will now oversee this strategy and the international strategy, which should help Song as he gets adjusted to his new roles.
