Assets in ETF managed portfolios tracked by Morningstar surged 60% in 2012, ending the year at $63 billion. Asset growth has been driven by ongoing adoption and penetration in the advisor and intermediary space.

In our next check-up on the universe, join Morningstar ETF Managed Portfolio Strategist Andrew Gogerty for a brief update on the key trends that will shape the space in 2013 and an in-depth conversation on asset allocation opportunities in the current market environment.

Two global all-asset managers, Lawrence Whistler, President and Chief Investment Officer of Nottingham Advisors, and Mitchell Reiner, Principal and Managing Partner of Wela Strategies, joined Andy for a roundtable discussion on the key factors influencing global asset allocation decisions. They addressed a variety of topics, including tactical and strategic opportunities for the near- and medium-term, changing correlations within and across asset classes, the impact of sovereign monetary policy on global risk premiums, and what technical factors are highlighting as potential opportunities.
