Fiat Chrysler's U.S. September sales fall with sharp declines in Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge brand sales
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA.MI) said U.S. sales in September fell 10% from a year ago to 174,266 units. Among the automaker's brands, Jeep sales fell 4% for the month, while Chrysler sales dropped 16%, Dodge sales tumbled 30%, Ram sales were flat and Alfa Romeo sales rose sharply to 1,268 units from 41 units. Meanwhile, retail sales increased 0.3% to 146,904 units, while fleet sales tumbled 41% to 27,362 units. The stock eased 0.1% in premarket trade. It has nearly doubled year to date (97.6%), while the S&P 500 has gained 13.0%.
