Financial Conference Takes on Challenges in Customer Experience Design for Financial Services

With financial services companies constantly seeking new ways to engage people, customer experience design can play a key role in energizing consumers and motivating them to deepen relationships with their banks, investment firms, insurance providers, and others in the industry.

The new Financial Experience Design Conference will confront that challenge and more on November 7, 2017, in Boston, when experts and visionaries in the field of Experience Design gather for a targeted day-long meeting.

“The changing nature of money and emergence of the digital channel are driving a financial services revolution,” says Mike Kirkpatrick, leader of the conference and senior vice president of client experience and strategy at Mad*Pow, a design agency. “Companies are conceiving new ways of interacting with people. Artificial Intelligence and Behavior Change Science will fundamentally change our interactions with financial companies and the flow of global investments.”

Based at District Hall in Boston’s Seaport area, the conference is limited to 200 participants, deliberately focused for industry leaders.

Participants include:

  • Greg Marion, vice president and enterprise senior strategy officer, USAA
  • Dan Egan, director of behavioral finance and investing, Betterment
  • Chris Avore, head of product design, NASDAQ
  • Isaac Slavitt, co-founder and data scientist, DrivenData, Inc.
  • Amy Cueva, founder and chief experience officer, Mad*Pow
  • Jonathan Poldolsky, vice president of strategy and service design, Mad*Pow
  • Melissa Gopnik, senior vice president, Commonwealth (formerly D2D Fund)
  • Jonathan Poldolsky, vice president of strategy and service design, Mad*Pow
  • Jason Henrichs, managing director, FinTech Forge
  • Chris Risdon, head of behavioral design, Capital One
  • Heidi Munc, AVP of user experience, Nationwide Insurance
  • Joe Lamantia, director of user experience, Capital One
  • Ben Hoffman, AVP user and customer experience, The Hanover Insurance Group
  • Jason Goodwin, director of global innovation practice and enablement at the Lab of Forward Thinking (LOFT) at Manulife/John Hancock

The Financial Experience Design Conference was developed by Mad*Pow to provide a collaborative way for organizations to share their challenges and reveal potential solutions. Mad*Pow has partnered with financial services companies for nearly two decades, creating new ways to improve the bottom line through enhanced client interaction. The research, strategy, design, and development from the company is focused on delivering measurable results, ultimately helping clients deliver engaging, intuitive, and meaningful experiences to their target audience.
