Does cancelling my Premium Membership affect my Free Membership?
No. The same user name and password you used to access the Premium Membership features will still provide you
access to all of the free, password-protected areas of the site. |
|
How do I know if I am a free or premium member?
When you click on the "Membership" link in the top right corner of the page, you will
be directed to a page with the benefits of your membership type. At the top of that page, you will
see either "My Premium Membership" or "My Free Membership." Another way that you
can tell is to look at the button next to the "Log Out" button when you are logged in. If that
button says "Premium" you are a Premium Member. If it says "Register" you are
currently a Free Member. |

What are the benefits of Premium Membership?
To identify what is available in the Premium areas of Morningstar.com, simply look for links
designated by a "+" sign. The Premium site is actually integrated into the Free site.

The benefits of a Premium membership include:
- Access to the one page, print-perfect Morningstar Analyses which are available for mutual
funds and are free for Premium members.

world region exposure, expenses, asset allocations, and key financial performance statistics
totaling nine additional screens than those available with the Free membership.
- Premium Fund/Stock Screener: a powerful screening tool that helps you narrow your stock and
fund choices quickly and in a more detailed process than the Basic selectors on the Free site.
- Detailed Reports: access to the Morningstar Analysis. Get Morningstar analysts' reports
for over 3,800 stocks and mutual funds. Read about whether a stock or mutual fund is a good investment
and for whom.

in your holdings and help you gauge the time to buy and sell.

|
Can I try premium membership before I make a decision?
Yes. Simply fill out either the Premium Membership or Upgrade to Premium Membership form. Your membership
will begin with a 14-day free trial. Cancel any time during those 14-days and we will not charge your credit
card. |
|
How do I cancel my Premium Membership?
To cancel your Premium Membership, please call our toll-free number, 1-866-229-9449. Our hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central Time and Fridays, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. |
|
How do I know when my Premium Membership ends?
Your Premium Membership will remain active until you tell us to cancel it. For your convenience,
we will automatically renew your membership on the same day each month or year, whichever you specified
when you signed up, until you tell us that you would like to discontinue your membership. |
|
If I begin my monthly subscription in the middle
of the month, does that mean I miss out on the first several days or weeks of my subscription?
The best way to answer this is with an example. If you fill in the Premium Membership form on say,
July 5th, your 14-day free trial will begin on that day and will last through July 19th. On July 20th,
if you have not notified us that you would like to cancel your subscription, we will automatically charge
the credit card you provided the monthly membership fee. Then, your month will go from
the 20th to the 19th of every month. If you cancel at any time during your month, your subscription will remain
active until the 19th, at which point we will automatically change your status from Premium to Free Membership. |
|
Is there anything else I should know about Premium Membership?
Please be sure to read the Premium Member Agreement; it contains important information about the terms of use of
the Morningstar.com Premium Membership. If you ever have any other questions, please e-mail us at: Premium@morningstar.com. |
|
What happens to my saved portfolios if I cancel my Premium Membership?
Nothing. The same user name and password you used to access the Premium Membership features will still provide you access to
all of the free, password-protected areas of the site. |
|
How many portfolios can I save?
At this time the maximum number of portfolios is limited to 50: 25 Watchlist and 25 Transaction portfolios due to space restrictions. |
|
Why does my credit card need to be authorized for a trial?
When you start a premium trial, your credit card will be authorized to verify its validity immediately, but
not actually charged. When the trial period ends, your credit card will then be charged the subscription fee. |
|
Will I get a refund if I cancel my Premium Membership?
If you cancel at any time during your 14-day free trial, your credit card will not have been charged, so no
refunds are necessary.
If you cancel your membership after the 14-day free trial, your subscription will remain active until
your anniversary day, then terminate on that day. For annual subscriptions, any remaining charge will be refunded,
prorated on a monthly basis, to your credit card. For monthly memberships, we will stop the automatic renewal function when you contact us.
Your subscription will remain active until the end of your anniversary day and then terminate. |
